Tatting is an intricate kind of lace. It is very rare and half-forgotten. It is
believed to have been designed in the 18th century by the French. In Russia young
ladies of aristocrat families have been accustomed to tatting to learn to feel the
beauty of the world around. And then… the beauty was abandoned. During the last
years tatting seems to have got a second wind.
